Who
Is Vince?
Vince Doriean was born in 1949 in
Essexville, MI. He attended St. John the Evangelist elementary
School through the sixth grade. Vince transferred to Hughes
School for the seventh and eighth grades. Garber High School
was under construction and Vince went back to St. John the
Evangelist for the ninth grade. When Garber High School opened,
it was another move back to the public school system. Vince was
a member of the first graduating class at Garber High School in
1967.
After a short stint at Delta College, it
was off to the United States Air Force in 1968. Vince was first
in intelligence school for one year, at Lowry Air Force Base
near Denver, Colorado and then served overseas the following
year. Upon returning to the states, Vince cross-trained into
aircraft navigation and communication repair and served his last
two years at Williams Air Force Base, a pilot training base,
just outside of Phoenix, Arizona.
Discharged in 1972, Vince enrolled again
at Delta College and took Business Management classes while
working at the Essexville Lumber Company. In 1975, he bought
Essexville Lumber Company from his parents. In 1987, he sold
Essexville Lumber and went into the real estate business as a
salesperson with Best Real Estate. Vince has an Associate
Degree in Business Studies in Real Estate. Three years later,
he became an Associate Broker with Best Real Estate and still
works in that capacity. Vince has two web sites related to real

In 1973, Vince married Barbara Stahle, a
Registered Nurse. They have two children, a son Charles and a
daughter Deborah. Vince and Barb were Cub Scout leaders for
four years, coached their children in intramural athletics and
Science Olympiad at Cramer Junior High and Garber High School;
where both Charles and Deborah took first place in the Regional
and State competitions. Vince and Barb still live in Essexville
and attend St. John the Evangelist Church, where Vince is an
usher and served on the Administration Committee for twelve
years. |
